Gary Panariello is a recognized leader in forensic engineering and has more than 20 years of experience in the research, design, investigation and construction of complex structures of all types.
Expertise in Structural Dynamics and Disaster Analysis
His specialties include the dynamics of structures subjected to earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural and man-made events, structural failure investigations, advanced analysis and emergency response.
Academic and Professional Contributions
Giving back to his alma mater, Gary served as an adjunct professor at Columbia University from 2004 to 2014. He co-authored a chapter on Engineering Response to Failures, “The Engineering Investigation Process,” in the Forensic Structural Engineering Handbook, published by McGraw-Hill in 2000 and updated in 2010. With a focus on structural analysis, his work has been presented and published in numerous outlets worldwide.
Outside of Work
Gary is an avid sailor, competing in J Class events whenever time allows.
