The term “mastermind” was first popularized in Napoleon Hill’s 1937 best-selling book, Think and Grow Rich, while referencing the success of Andrew Carnegie. But, it wasn’t a new concept. 

People have used mastermind groups for as long as they have communicated, referring to the synergy of bringing people together to achieve better results or as Napoleon Hill defined it, “two or more people working in perfect harmony for the attainment of a definite goal.” At Highrise Networks, we saw how traditional networking groups come up short and set out to create a better opportunity for business professionals.

Look Beyond Networking

Expanding your network to increase visibility and reach is certainly important, but it is only one aspect of the Mastermind approach, along with peer-to-peer mentoring, information and resource sharing, and collective creative brainstorming. The truth is – one great business idea is worth exponentially more than the benefit of exchanging business cards or getting a referral.

Being part of a mastermind group is like having an advisory group, an accountability team, a support group, peer mentors, and a board of directors for your business, all in one group. In addition, you will be able to expand your perspective by learning through the insight and advice of other high-level professionals. You can brainstorm solutions together, work through complex business issues, help each other determine effective business goals, provide support for reaching those goals, and create a sense of accountability that simply isn’t possible on your own.

The Highrise Mastermind Approach

The most successful mastermind groups are those made up of active participants, highly engaged with the group and dedicated to fulfilling the purpose of a mastermind by helping each member accomplish their goals for better results. Our Membership Team strives to select only senior-level professionals that meet our criteria of being driven,engaged, and supportive. 

Each member is vetted and interviewed by a Vice Presidents of Membership before being invited to join our community of mastermind groups. We curate local groups that offer close proximity to your business location and limit membership to only one person per specialty in each group creating creative, not competitive, solutions-oriented environments. 

Cultivating a Community

We have created a network of more than 90 groups across the country, building a mastermind community with national reach. We also offer numerous other opportunities to get involved and engage with community members from a Community Forum on Fridays to Vertical Industry groups that allow members in the same industry to exchange ideas as well.
