Chris Chandler

Managing Partner

Chris Chandler is the founder and Managing Partner of The Creovia Group. Through a twenty year career deeply rooted in hands-on Supply Chain and Sourcing/Procurement, Chandler has experience working in multiple industries and various management capacities with some of the world’s most recognized brands. His primary focus is on building world class Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing expertise that maximizes value to realize the greatest return on investment for his clients.

Nearly half of his career was spent in the Automotive industry with General Motors, Eaton Corporation, and Benteler Automotive, where his responsibilities spanned management of inventory and distribution of over 250,000 SKUs across a network of 26 warehouse locations and global sourcing of varying commodities, such as castings, forgings, stampings, plastics, and electrical components.

In more than five years in the CPG industry with Kellogg’s and Dr Pepper Snapple Group he executed hedging and sourcing strategies of market-traded agricultural commodities, packaging materials, and Indirect spend categories.  He was also heavily engaged with R&D and Product Development teams, in support of the launch of multiple new product introductions.

As the executive responsible for building and leading a Strategic Sourcing function for a large, global Financial Services organization, Chandler successfully instituted a formal Category Management process, developed an organization-wide Supplier Relationship Management platform, and fostered a move towards true Contract Lifecycle Management. He also championed the implementation of multiple technology tools aimed at automating several manual processes and development of a more  sophisticated spend analytics database.

Chandler received his undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University and holds an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He has also achieved the designations of Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS and Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) from ISM.

He has twice been featured  in Supply Chain World Magazine, has conducted speaking engagements at several Procurement and Sourcing industry events, and serves as Adjunct Professor for TCU's Neeley School of Business.
