MY COMPANY

I am the COO at a consultancy that works primarily with organizations led by innovators and visionaries. Many of us are recovering marketing agency people, so we get asked a lot of marketing questions like, "Can you do my website?" and, "Could you help with a rebrand?" What makes us unique is that we focus on aligning the work that we do around the leader's vision for their organization and ensuring that it fulfills upon a deep human need so that what that organization does has a substantial and enduring impact on the world. As a result, we stay primarily in the big picture, long view, vision, and strategy end of projects–typically interfacing directly with the top executives, board, or investors.

OUR STAFF

Bigwidesky's staff is primarily senior level strategists. We have trained futurists, successful former entrepreneurs, leadership consultants, OD specialists, I/O psychologists, technologists, and more that we work with and bring to the client's table to solve challenges of change, culture, technology, communications, and innovation.

WHAT WE DO

Due to the innovation focus and working with visionary leaders, we tend to work on things that have never been done before or have been done so few times that you cannot for example read an HBR case study on the subject.

ME

My background is in digital-integrated marketing strategy with strengths in strategy, presentation, operations, & team/people development. When website analytics and blogging still did not exist, I taught myself HTML and created what was something of a mashup of what eventually became blogging and Flickr. One thing led to another, and I ended up being the most retweeted account on Twitter for a year or more and in the top 10 of most followed accounts, which led to me leading via an agency Microsoft's endeavors to measure the ROI of their social media (circa 2009-2010). I started to get a bit burned out and went to lead digital for the largest nonprofit fundraising agency in the world, and then after about a decade, I lucked upon Bigwidesky, where I have been since late 2018.
