Few creative leads have traversed the creative landscape like Johann Conforme. From the humble beginnings of digital, to big brand traditional and back to today’s complex omnichannel environments, Johann has been called upon to lead global brands at their most important inflection points.
The ability of brands to deliver on content, services and digital experiences is vastly outmatched and outpaced by the expectations set by today’s consumers. Johann has made a personal investment to become the most well equipped creative in order to give agencies and clients the ability to meet and exceed these expectations. His experience of moving from traditional to an integrated model, moving from integrated to true digital innovation and now to customer engagement through content and experiences, gives him a unique ability to see creative opportunities in truly inspiring ways.
Johann began his career in New York, at ABC Sports (ESPN) overseeing the on-air packages, while learning the intense environment of live sports and creative through everything from Monday Night Football, to the World Cup. Riding the digital boom he then moved to Arc Worldwide where he created best-in-class digital for a broad range of clients including AFLAC, Disney, Cadillac, and General Mills. Afterwards, he moved to Los Angeles, where he continued his innovative streak to lead the Saatchi digital team for Toyota.
After numerous successful digital launches, Johann began a long chapter at Ogilvy where he led digital, brand and new media efforts for Cisco, Tabasco, AMPM and Nature Made. Next he ventured into a more entrepreneurial role as the Head of Creative at Phenomenon. Johann built from the ground up a multifaceted team comprising of offline and online disciplines through brand, planning, digital and user experience experts.
Johann most recently served as SVP Executive Creative Director for Rosetta (Razorfish Global) by leading teams across New York, San Luis Obispo and Los Angeles on the global Samsung business. His remit was to drive true creative innovation in the customer engagement space across film, mobile, loyalty, experiential and digital.
Johann’s family moved to New York City when he was a child and he got his first taste of technology in the arcades that dotted the city. This sparked a lifelong enchantment with art, design, image, and digital media. He studied at the Ecole Beaux Arts in France and also studied under the famed photographer Roy Decarava.
Today, Johann lives by the beach in sunny Los Angeles with his wife and two boys. His love for his family and passion for Formula 1 and soccer fuels his drive to innovate in the new creative space of today’s content and consumer led marketing world.
