The Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of Commercial and/or Commercial Real Estate clients that lead to commercial and/or commercial real estate loans (Non-Owner Occupied), deposits and other banking products offered by the Bank.  The Relationship Manager must assist with the management of the Department sales and service efforts to ensure retention of existing relationships and growth of new relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  1. Complies with all Bank operating and lending policies and procedures. Stays abreast federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  2. Manages personal sales efforts and participates in Department sales and service efforts to ensure retention of existing relationships and growth of new relationships.  Includes contributions to the achievement of Department net earnings, and deposit/loan growth objectives.
  3. Manages account relationships in assigned portfolio to adhere to loan conditions and Bank policies. Primary point of contact for monitoring assigned loan credit risk ratings and guarantor financial condition.
  4. Monitors assigned accounts to adhere to loan covenants, payment schedules and review of necessary credit approvals in a timely fashion.
  5. Provides quality customer service to all customers of the Real Estate Banking Group.
  6. Represents the Bank in a positive manner and maintains an active level of involvement within the Commercial Real Estate industry.
  7. Assists in properly following and implementing all Bank audit procedures.
  8. Contributes to the Bank’s CRA policies and objectives.  Actively participate in various community and civic activities.
  9. Provides, presents and promotes The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Four year college or university program degree; or three (3) to five (5) years Commercial Real Estate or Banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.   Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.   Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
