Jim has been assisting and representing employers of all sizes and industries regarding State & Federal employment law compliance for thirty-nine years. Throughout his professional career, he has attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Juris Doctorate Degree, Real Estate Broker License, and is also a former Reserve Captain, a P.O.S. T. Certified Terrorist Investigator, a member of the Open Source Intelligence Team all as a twenty-year member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. In addition, Jim is a certified Mediator through the Los Angeles County Bar Association and a former Master Teacher for the University of Phoenix having taught on the graduate and undergraduate levels. His course curriculums included, but were not limited to, Business Law, Employment Law, United States Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Ethics. Rounding off Jim’s career highlights he is also an author having published his first book In July 2008 (Right to Counsel) and the second one in November 2013 entitled “Walking on Eggshells, Managing Minorities in the Workplace.” Jim has a third book, "The Master’s Will" which is currently under consideration by several publishers and producers and finally, a sequel to Right to Counsel called “Right to Counsel: the Dark Side of Justice” that has just been completed and submitted for consideration.
Jim has been an outspoken patriot regarding domestic terrorism and has spoken in front of political groups, business associations, community-based organizations, schools, businesses, and has conducted active shooter training for thousands of individuals both in and out of the workplace. Jim's trainings have extended to the East Coast and as far north as the state of Washington. Jim has been featured in newspapers as well as radio and now has his own radio show on Sundays at 3:00 PM (PST) on LATalkRadio.com. On the show, Jim continues to provide domestic terrorism safety tips for in and out of the workplace.
