George graduated from Art Center College of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1981. Prior to graduating George was invited to teach scholarship-level classes at ACCD, replacing a respected senior instructor. He continued teaching for three years.
As a senior George received accolades from the Mayor of Los Angeles, winning a city-wide art competition, depicting on canvas the rich architectural history of L.A. for its celebrated Bicentennial.
George has produced original commercial illustrations for Honda Motorcycles, Mazda Chemical, Alpine Audio, Nikko Toys, Fred Segals, HPI Architects, Bergman Companies and others. He has created countless cover and editorial illustrations for Westways Magazine, InfoText, Digitrends and Fancy Publications.
Bloomfield moved to Orange County in 1986 to become VP Creative Director of Homes For Sale Magazine. Some years later, as Director of Marketing for Spanish Hills Golf & Country Club, George helped to lead a successful marketing campaign for club memberships and private estate home site sales.
Today, George works with businesses large and small – small startups to large organizations. George works most often with business leaders in aggressive growth mode or in some significant phase of image enhancement.
Complimenting his proven design skills, and with extensive experience as a focused project manager and seasoned corporate executive, Bloomfield consults to visionary business owners as a multifaceted marketing designer and branding strategist.
In his free time, limited as that may be, George enjoys boating — power and sail, travel to exotic and tropical destinations, the occasional nerd tour, skiing, mountain biking, snorkeling, and, above all, experiencing and sharing it all with the love of his life, Kathie.
