Danielle Sevilla – Develops trust with the public on the most challenging projects
Vice President & Director of Special Forces
Danielle Sevilla has more than 18 years of experience in strategic communications, public affairs and project management working with public agencies at the state and local levels of government, as well as working with non-profit and community organizations. Her key qualifications include project management; strategic planning; community outreach and education; public participation, input, and visioning; and public meetings and special event coordination and planning.
She is an expert in connecting with public audiences because of her skillfulness
imparting controversial information in a sensitive manner and her responsiveness to their concerns. With each client, the overarching goal is to ensure projects are
completed on time and within budget while protecting the client’s image, reputation and relationships. Areas of practice includes transportation, planning, water, and
construction projects, speaker and media training, branding and messaging.
Prior to joining Murakawa Communications, Danielle was Associate Director for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation’s HIV Prevention Project (needle exchange) and an
Associate at the Los Angeles-based public affairs firm Diverse Strategies for
Organizing. Danielle is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, the
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and the Asian American Architects/Engineers Association. She is a long-time volunteer with the Palos Verdes Peninsula 4-H Club as well as a Board Member for the San Gabriel 4-H Fair, serves on the board of Raices y Semillas: Opciones Educativas, a California homeschooling organization working to bring educational options to Indigenous, Chicano and Latino families, and volunteers with Centinela Youth Services, a restorative justice non-profit agency providing services and support to youth and families. Danielle is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Danielle received her B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley.
