►Amy is a tax Executive Director in the Los Angeles office of Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services practice and the National Leader for the firm’s Section 382 practice.
►Amy has been working in the corporate tax area for more than twenty two years and has spent over nineteen years working solely in the mergers and acquisitions area of taxation.
►Amy primarily focuses on advising corporate clients on the ability to utilize federal tax attributes to offset income. Amy has been the leader of the firm’s National Section 382 practice since January 2008 and the leader of the west coast Section 382 practice since 2001.
►Amy is a national expert in the area, consulting with clients of the firm all over the country and around the world.
►In addition, Amy has expertise in consolidated return issues and the federal corporate income tax consequences of various transactions, including without limitation, bankruptcy, taxable and tax-free mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, spin-offs, cross-border acquisitions and dispositions, and internal restructurings (including global restructurings).
Education and memberships
►Amy graduated with distinction from Penn State University with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Business Law, and received her Juris Doctorate and Masters of Law in Taxation with distinction from Georgetown University Law Center.
►Amy is a member of the Maryland Bar and the District of Columbia Bar, and is a certified public accountant in Maryland, the District of Columbia and California.
►Amy has been honored in the 2007-2008 edition of Madison Who’s Who for Executives and Professionals.
